  1. Good news & good luck Mayor Blundell. I live in Calif. and I have Multiple Scrlosis (MS). I can get a legal prescription for medical marijuana due to the extreme pain my Central Nervous System sends to different parts of my body, specifically my left shoulder & arm. With MS I'll be feeling fine: enjoying an evening at the Opera, working in my Art Studio, having dinner out with friends....until wham, every bone in my left arm and sholder feel broken. This is pain sent by my brain to any part of my body without a logical reason, no pain pills prescribed by doctors helped, just put me in a fog. I got a legal prescription for Medical Marijuana and a vaporizer. Within a few uses this broke the cycle of pain. It is 90% more effective than any pill from the Pharmacy. I only used the vaporizer when I was in extreme pain, it worked. Medical Marijuana is an effective alternative to Pain Pills for some people. I treated it in the same manner. I am not using Medical Marijuana now because after about 6 months my CNS (Central Nervous System) stopped sending pain.

Currently my doctors have me on Pain Pills for unexplained pain to my Left temple, face & neck. I've had CAT Scans, MRI's, etc. to try to find a reason for this extreme pain. The doctor's only find the MS lesions in my brain, so I feel lucky that I have no tumors, etc. But the pain is real and unrelenting. The doctor's have put me back on Pain Pills every 4 hours.
I hate taking these pills: they put me in a daze and have not eliminated the pain. If the pain killers don't work soon I'll be asking for another Legal Prescription to Marijuana to see if that will break the cycle of pain.

Every person who suffers from chronic pain due to an accident, the pain of Cancer, pain sent by the CNS when you have an illness like MS should have the legal option to use Marijuana. I've heard of nurses on the Cancer Wards who would purchase Marijuana to give to their Cancer patients to control/stop the unbearable pain of Cancer.

I hope Mayor Joe Blundell & the citizens of Missouri win on this issue so that people who suffer from
chronic, unbearable pain have another option to end their suffering.
